There are many ways to say hello in English. Sometimes you say a quick hello as you are passing somebody. At other times a greeting leads to a conversation. Friends and family members greet each other in a casual way. Business greetings are more formal.

My Family


To know the name of each of the family members in English is a basic and essential learning language proficiency for their frequency of use in series, books, news, etc. Therefore, it is important to know very well, at least what we call basic family or blood family.

Today we will learn family vocabulary divided into five groups: basic family (the most common members), (more advanced) extended family, affectionate names or colloquial (slang), generic names (parents, siblings, etc.) and other (twins, relatives, adopted ..).
